Job Details:

Premier specialty Spine practice seeks experienced surgical practice administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy, growth oriented practice. The Practice Administrator will focus on standardizing operations, directing and developing staff, collaborating with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in implementing the Practice’s long-term vision, maximizing the revenue cycle, and implementing best practices.

Our Spine practice with two offices in Massachusetts, is seeking a high energy professional with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic for the position of Practice Administrator.

Description:

This position is responsible for providing strategic direction to the practice's administrative and financial operations and for the development and implementation of administrative and financial policies and procedures for the practice.

The person who will succeed best is one who is able to build a solid relationship with physicians based on mutual respect, takes initiative, uses common sense, and is committed to the vision of the Practice.

Be the primary source and creative thinker to establish benchmarks and develop strategies to build out the practice. Initiate discussions with the Physician Partners to share thoughts on a strategic initiative for continued growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare and medical practice administration, in both daily operations as well as strategic long-term growth;
  • Expertise in medical financial analysis, the preparation of financial reports, oversight of billings and collections, and the management of financial operations;
  • The capability of optimizing practice efficiency and implementing productivity standards;
  • The ability to formulate specific strategies and action plans to accomplish stated business objectives;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with diverse practice constituents, i.e., physicians, employees, patients, insurance providers, hospital representatives, vendors, and legal/financial advisors;
  • An understanding of the rapidly-changing reimbursement climate and underlying healthcare forces impacting medical specialists;
  • The ability to implement Electronic Medical Records and assure compliance with Medicare and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred with a minimum of 7 years management experience in running a multisite medical group practice. Experience managing Orthopedic Spine practices and FACMPE certification preferred.
